Traditional Ground Burial
TRADITIONAL GROUND BURIAL

•The three largest expenditures a family has in a lifetime are a house, car and burial expense.

•Often times a family is bankrupt after paying hospital, medical and burial expenses.

•Since 1939 the cost of dying has increased 25 percent.  Faster than the cost of living (U.S. Dept. of Health, Education and Welfare.)

•There are two things which none of us is ever able to bargain—our health and our life.  If an emergency occurs in either, we must face the cost at that time.

If there had been a death in your family yesterday—what would you be doing today?

THREE MAJOR CEMETERY DECISIONS
•When a death occurs you visit your Funeral Director with the need to purchase a casket and other funeral services.

    •Your Cemetery Decisions
1.    Land—Select adult site in which the vault and casket are placed.
•How many burial sites will your family need?

•What section of the cemetery do you wish to choose in?

•Do you want to get near relatives?  Is there space still available?

•What are your marker preferences?  (As there are restrictions to flat grass markers or upright monuments in certain sections.)

•Land prices will increase 50% in 5 years.

•Prices range from $600.00 per space to $4,000.00 per space

2.    Vault
•A vault or some type of outer container the casket is placed in.  This is not a state law, however, it is a requirement of all modern cemeteries for maintenance reasons.

The average cost today is $900.00 and up.

The cost of funeral services will increase by 50% every 5 years.

3.    Memorialization
•Memorials are available at Linwood Cemetery in all shapes, colors, and sizes.  Linwood Cemetery only uses the highest quality in granite or bronze.  (See Products)

        •What determines the cost?
1.    A single, double, or triple.
2.    Flat grass marker—or upright monument
3.    The Size
4.    The amount of inscription
5.    The color (Gray, pink, blue, green, red, brown, black)

Pictures of markers  (Bardon—Jet Black, Clarke—Gray, Tigges—Bahama Blue, Ackmann—Mahogany, Hesse—Cats Eye)

We remind you again historically, the cost of cemetery services will increase 50% in 5 years.

    4.    Opening and Closing
•The cost of opening/closing each grave site can be prepaid.

LINWOOD CEMETERY ASSOCIATION’S PRENEED PROGRAM
Our preneed program is designed to accomplish three important goals for our area families.
•ONE—It solves an inevitable problem which confronts every family at the death of a loved one.  Our program provides the total cemetery needs for both of you at the same time.

•SECOND—It controls the cost.  By making your purchase at today’s prices for items that you otherwise will be mandated to purchase at future prices you are completely relieved of the disastrous inflationary pressures which are being forced on all people of our modern world.

•THIRD—And perhaps most importantly, our program has enabled us to purchase in volume directly from the manufacturer and to have merchandise shipped in truck load lots directly to us.  This allows substantial savings which are passed on to you.
